ABCs of Faith Companion Journal
Go beyond the story with Scripture activities, creative challenges, thoughtful questions, and prayers that help children connect God's Word to everyday life.
Recommended for children ages 5-10
Beyond the Story. Into the Heart.
What happens when children begin connecting the stories they learn in Scripture to the choices, questions, and experiences of their own lives?
That's where The ABCs of Faith Companion Journal begins.
Created to accompany the ABCs of Faith Coloring Book, this interactive journal invites children to move beyond simply knowing the stories of the Bible and begin exploring what those stories reveal about God, and how His truth applies to their everyday lives.
Through 26 Scripture-centered lessons, children revisit biblical figures, explore meaningful questions, and participate in creative activities that encourage them to think, reflect, pray, and grow.
They'll explore courage through Esther, discover kindness through Boaz, consider the importance of prayer through Hannah, and learn about staying connected to Jesus through the Vine.
Each lesson pairs biblical truth with hands-on discovery, giving children opportunities to express what they're learning through drawing, writing, puzzles, and personal reflection.
This isn't a journal children need to rush through or complete perfectly.
It's an invitation to ask questions, consider God's Word, and discover how Scripture speaks to the ordinary moments of their lives.

How Parents Can Use It at Home
Begin by reading the corresponding Bible story together, either directly from Scripture or alongside the ABCs of Faith Coloring Book.
Then allow your child to explore the journal activities at their own pace.
Some pages invite children to draw or color. Others encourage thoughtful answers about friendship, kindness, courage, trust, and prayer.
Use the questions as conversation starters rather than assignments that need perfect answers. For younger children, parents can read prompts aloud and write down their child's responses.
Finish with the included prayer, or encourage your child to express something they'd like to tell God in their own words.
Whether used during family devotionals, homeschooling, quiet afternoons, or weekly Bible study, the journal makes space for learning that continues beyond the page.
Read the truth. Explore its meaning. Carry it into everyday life.
