I Can Give My Worries to God

Teaching our kids to turn to God when they feel worried, scared, or unsure reassures them that He is always there, and helps them to trust in Him.
Have your little ones ever come to you with bad dreams, nervous about a big dance at the school, worried that they did something they can't fix?
Ask them:
"Have you ever had a worry that just wouldn't go away?"
Tell them about God's Promise:
God listens when we talk to him
He cares about every little worry
Nothing is too small for Him
"Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
Explain in a way they can understand:
We don't have to hold our worries inside
We can give it to God
He helps us feel peace and not feel alone
When I was young, I remember my mom would always tell me to put all my worries and bad dreams in her hand and after I was done, she would slam her hand shut and we would pray for God to squash all these worries and take them far away from me.
Moments like these will always be remembered as you help them process how they are feeling at those moments.
Activity for them to practice:
Whisper a prayer
Draw out their worries and then Give it to God
Put their hand on their heart and talk to Him
Reassuring things like this can be gamechangers for some little ones. Knowing that they don't have to face this world alone.
God is always listening, and He is always with you.
Prayer
God, thank you for listening to me and never leaving me. Help me give my worries and trust you. In your name we pray, Amen.
