Letting Go of Control

"Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
We, as human beings, are obsessed with having control over our lives. It almost feels natural, right? We want to plan, fix and figure everything out before it even happens. We hold on tightly because, in our minds, control feels safe.
But the truth is, we were never meant to carry it all.
Each of us has a specific path, one that is already seen and known by God. When we truly let go and let Him lead, things begin to fall into place in ways we could have never planned ourselves. The amazing part about it, is it's never as we expect but it is always how we need.
The hard part about all of that is trusting.
We like control because we have been taught that in order for life to go the way we want, we have to control it ourselves. In some ways, that makes sense. But so often, when we take control, we end up overwhelmed, frustrated, or walking in a direction we were never meant to go. And sometimes, we even blame God when things don't go our way, even though we prayed about it.
The truth is, we didn't full trust Him.. we tried to do it all on our own.
We have to remember:
Letting go doesn't mean giving up.
It means surrendering.
It means waking up and saying, " God, I trust You more than I trust myself today."
It means releasing the outcome, even when you don't understand the process.
That is where true peace begins.
Not in having all the answers... but trusting the One who does.
So today, take a breath.
Release what you have been trying to control.
Lay it down.
You don't have to figure everything out.
God already has.
Prayer
God, Help me to release what I have been trying to control. Teach me to trust You, even when I don't understand. Give me peace in the unknown and strength to surrender. Remind me that Your plan is greater than mine. In your name I pray, Amen.
